Buyer summary · reviewed 2026-08-19
Jeff Richardson, Swabian Acquisition
I am the buyer. I am not a broker, I do not represent sellers, and there is no fee or commission to your client. If the business fits, your client talks to me directly.
What I buy
- Where
- Boise first, then the wider Treasure Valley: Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Caldwell, Kuna, Star and Garden City. Southwest Idaho is the outer edge.
- Size
- $1 million or more in annual revenue. No upper limit.
- Type
- B2B and commercial services
- Age
- 5 or more years operating
- Not buying
- restaurants, retail, franchises, startups, turnarounds, real-estate-heavy businesses
Who I am
- I live in Boise. Swabian Acquisition is my company.
- MBA, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
- Financial analytics, ServiceLink (Fidelity National Financial).
- Strategy consulting, EY.
- I have not bought a company before. I would rather you hear that from me than find it out.
What I will discuss with your client
- Who runs the company day to day after close.
- How quickly, or slowly, your client steps back.
- Which employees and key people stay, and on what terms.
- Whether the company keeps its name.
- Your client's own role afterwards, from a clean exit to a long advisory seat.
- How and when your client gets paid.
What I cannot promise in advance
Any of the above, before I understand the business. They are decisions we make together and put in writing, not guarantees I can make on a page. A buyer who promises them sight unseen is telling you something.
On timing, the only commitment I make is a quick, professional closing within 90 days.
What contacting me does not do
- It does not create an engagement, for you or your client.
- It does not start a sale process, and nothing gets listed.
- It does not oblige your client to do anything at all.
- Your client should keep independent legal, tax and financial advice. That means you.
The first conversation
Thirty minutes, confidential, no documents. Mostly me asking questions. If the business is not a fit I say so on that call and try to point your client somewhere better suited.
